Nasdaq Verafin Launches AI Workforce to Transform AML Compliance
Nasdaq Verafin has unveiled its Agentic AI Workforce, a suite of digital workers designed to revolutionize anti-money laundering (AML) compliance for banks. The solution automates high-volume, low-value processes, building on the success of its GenAI Entity Research Copilot. These AI-driven workers can execute complex tasks, including decision-making, with minimal supervision.
A recent survey from Nasdaq Verafin's Global Financial Crime Report highlights the growing strain on compliance teams. While 75% of financial institutions increased headcount investments last year, nearly half still lack adequate resources to combat financial crime effectively. The new AI workforce aims to alleviate these pressures by handling end-to-end processes, freeing human analysts for higher-value investigations.
"Banks face mounting compliance challenges—from evolving regulations to legacy system limitations," said Rob Norris, SVP of Product at Nasdaq Verafin. The AI solution arrives as institutions grapple with rising operational demands amid constrained resources.
